In response to evolving public health recommendations, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati has suspended all operations until at least April 6, 2020.
All construction sites, ReStore locations, training annex, and office are closed to employees, volunteers, and the public. Our administrative staff are working remotely and able to respond to your calls and email.
For updates, please follow us on social media, or check back to this website.

This weekend, HFHGC implemented some additional measures designed to do our part to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus and keep our homebuyers, volunteers, and staff healthy. All these are subject to change – please check this page or follow us on social media for updates.
- We have suspended all volunteer activity on build sites, in ReStores, and our office for the time being. Individual volunteers and groups who had signed up to volunteer have been notified. We will gratefully welcome you back when we resume normal operations!
- Our five Greater Cincinnati ReStore locations will continue to be open to the public, with enhanced cleaning procedures. We ask for your patience with phone and online responses to your questions as each store will be working with a smaller crew. At this time, we need shoppers more than ever to generate income, but please do stay home if you have any flu-like symptoms or have been asked to self-quarantine.
- Habitat office staff are working to serve you, with some working remotely. You may still mail or drop off applications. In-person meetings will not be scheduled.
- Monetary donations and tax acknowledgements are being processed as usual – your support is welcome and much needed as we work to sustain the mission through difficult times.

At Habitat for Humanity, our mission is to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope. At this time we are delivering on the mission by operating with normal activities and schedules. As the impact of the novel Coronavirus develops, we recognize that there are times when bringing people together may not be possible or advisable.
As always, the health, safety, and positive experience of our volunteers, homebuyers, donors, and staff are our highest concern. In making any decision to postpone or cancel normal volunteer activities, make changes in construction or ReStore operations, we will follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control, state and local health authorities, and Habitat for Humanity International.
We are closely monitoring developments in our nine-county service area and will adjust our response as needed. If you have an individual or volunteer group scheduled and we need to change or cancel your shift, we will give you as much notice as possible via the email you used when you registered as a volunteer. If you need to change a shift, please log in to your account on Community Connect to cancel your shift, or contact Volunteer Services at 513-482-5614 or firstname.lastname@example.org. We will also post any changes to our Facebook page as soon as we have that information.
We ask if you are visiting or working at any of our construction sites or ReStores that you protect your health and those you are working with by following all handwashing or sanitizing protocols recommended by health officials. As with all other activities, if you do not feel well, please stay home and take care of yourself!
We will provide updates as needed via our social media channels and through email. If you are not already signed up to receive email communication from HFHGC, you may subscribe here.
