Around the world, Habitat for Humanity volunteers, supporters and advocates are making a difference in the lives of thousands of families who deserve decent, affordable shelter. Whether you are swinging a hammer, advocating for affordable housing, or volunteering in one of our ReStores, local supporters play an integral role in revitalizing our communities.

We are always looking for new volunteers who are willing to spend time with us in the following areas:
Our homes are built almost entirely by volunteers, both skilled and unskilled. Whether you are a contractor or have never picked up a hammer in your life, we need your help. We have several construction sites across the Cincinnati area. All the equipment and safety gear you need for the day is provided and no previous experience is necessary. Orientations take place at the start of each shift. Volunteer shifts: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm.

If you have a combination of construction experience, team leadership skills, and regular availability, you may be interested in becoming a Crew Leader. Crew Leaders are an integral part of the Habitat mission. We look for volunteers who would be able to motivate, teach, and lead a group of (potentially) inexperienced volunteers in a construction task for the day. For more information, email email@example.com.
Spending a day on a Habitat build or working in a ReStore is a great way for companies, community organizations, or a group of friends to help make the dream of home ownership a reality for families living in need. What better way to learn the value of team building, co-operation, and leadership than by working with your co-workers and peers on a HFHGC build site?
Volunteer shifts are offered Wednesday-Saturday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. Each site can accommodate up to 15 volunteers. If your group is interested, please complete our Group Volunteer Interest Form here: https://www.habitatcincinnati.org/how-to-help/group-form.html
Larger corporate teams contribute a tax-deductible donation to cover the cost of materials and supervision for your build day experience. This support also allows us to continue to provide affordable housing opportunities for families with limited incomes and establish safe neighborhoods. With high housing and land costs in most of the Tri-state area, Team Builder donations are crucial in helping us to serve more families. To learn more contact Tricia Sunders at 513-482-5612 or firstname.lastname@example.org. More information is available on the "Become a Corporate Sponsor" page in this section.
Do you like hanging out at your local hardware store? Are you interested in customer service? Are you looking for a way to complete student volunteer hours? Join our ReStores that sell new and gently-used renovation and household materials. Volunteers help prepare merchandise for resale, receive donations, load/unload trucks, and customer service. Orientations take place at the start of each shift. Sign up online today.Volunteer shifts are available Monday-Saturday, 9:00 am-1:00 pm and 1:00 pm-4:00 pm.
Habitat for Humanity Greater Cincinnati holds and participates in many events throughout the year. The time commitment, location, and type of volunteer opportunity varies from one event to another. Volunteers lend a hand in many ways such as set up, registration, cleaning, painting, light repair, yard work, and representing Habitat to the public. We host two Rock the Block events each year (April and October) and a Women Build event in the spring.
Our office has a variety of opportunities for recent graduates, students, retirees, and working professionals to use your administrative abilities to assist our Construction, ReStore, Fund Development, Family Services, and Volunteer Services departments. Half-day, one-day and regular opportunities are available. For more information, please contact email@example.com or call 513-482-5614.
Global Village trips can be a life changing experience. It’s an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of development issues, to learn more about another culture and about yourself. You will be more than a tourist as you are welcomed into the community by your hosts and introduced to the local culture as a guest. You will work together, share stories, and make friends. Trips to El Salvador and Cambodia are being planned now.
For more information, or to sign up for any of these volunteer opportunities, please contact the Volunteer Recruiter at 513-482-5614 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
