Veteran Repair Program

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati partners with veterans and their families to provide critical repairs so they can remain safe in their homes.

We proudly serve active duty military members, veterans, and surviving spouses of veterans who have been honorably or generally discharged from all branches of the military.

Not a military-connected family? Check out our Aging in Place program.

Program Overview

Did you or someone in your family serve, or are currently serving in the military, and in need of a critical home repair? If so, we may be able to help!

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati's Veteran Repair Program offers critical home repairs and modifications as an extension of our mission to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

Our service area includes Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties in Kentucky; Dearborn and Ohio Counties in Indiana, and Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, and Warren Counties in Ohio.

At Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati, we believe that every individual deserves a safe and decent place to call home. That's why our critical home repair programs are designed to provide assistance to homeowners in need without the burden of a payback policy.

We understand that unexpected repairs can place a significant financial strain on families, especially those who are already facing economic challenges. Our commitment is to help alleviate the burden by offering critical home repairs without any requirement for repayment.

By providing these repairs without a payback policy, we aim to empower homeowners and enable them to maintain the integrity and safety of their homes. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to live in a safe and healthy environment, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Frank’s son shared, “I cannot thank you guys enough for not only the assistance, but treating my father with dignity throughout the process. His life has seen a lot of difficulty, including economic hardship outside of his control. The mental toll of seeking assistance  when it feels like you’re being dehumanized has been a deterrent to exploring different programs. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati could not have done a better job of treating my dad with respect as a veteran, and a human being. That portion is as appreciated as the actual home repairs.”
