Corporate Sponsorship Creates Meaningful Impact: Rob and the Realtor Alliance of Greater Cincinnati’s Story
Realtors know how much homeownership matters to families and individuals. Homeownership offers stability for people to grow, change, and chase their dreams. The Realtor Alliance of Greater Cincinnati (RAGC) understands the importance of homeownership and decided to team up with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati to help raise funds, walls, and awareness in the region.
The Realtor Alliance of Greater Cincinnati (RAGC) has supported the Real Estate Community Build since its beginning. As both sponsor and volunteers, the RAGC has been enthusiastically committed to Habitat’s mission with their members filling every volunteer slot for their allotted build days. “Whether you were swinging a hammer or painting a wall, the realtors helped out and made sure this project was on track and finished on time,” says Rob Streicher, President of the RAGC.
Rob and the members of the RAGC understand the impact of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati’s work and love volunteering. “It not only builds camaraderie [among members], but also a sense of doing something for the community,” shares Rob. “It’s not just for that individual that’s getting the house, it actually helps the entire community.” Habitat’s build projects provide life-changing opportunities for families and individuals in the homeownership program, but they also help uplift neighborhoods by boosting pride in the community and helping stabilize property values. “[Habitat] actually helps the community to grow and to prosper because of their actions, not because they want to make a profit. That is so meaningful and so important.”
The Realtor Alliance of Greater Cincinnati continues to support Habitat for Humanity because they understand the value Habitat’s work brings to the region. “It is fantastic when you can support an organization that doesn’t have self interest in mind,” says Rob. After spending time on sites in Lower Price Hill last year and Hamilton, OH this year, Rob and the rest of the RAGC have seen the impact and want to continue making lasting change throughout Greater Cincinnati. “Each one of those communities are stronger because of [Habitat’s work].”
