We recently partnered with Debra, a homeowner who has lived in her house for 21 years. Like many seniors in our community, Debra found herself facing housing challenges outside her budget.  After a series of heavy rains with water leaking into her home, Debra reached out to Habitat. 

“It’s really happening,” says Taleah. “I’m going to be a homeowner.” For years, Taleah has faced challenges in her current living situation—flooding that led to mold in the ceiling, loud music from neighbors at all hours, and complaints about her autistic child’s stimming.
