Recycle at the ReStore

Donate Your Unwanted Electronics & Metal

Program Overview

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati’s recycling efforts don’t stop with the donated appliances, furniture, cabinets and other home materials. HFHGC has partnered with other organizations to recycle electronics and metals.

How can I recycle electronics or metals?  Just drop off any of the accepted items to the Bond Hill, Bellevue, Cheviot, or Fairfield ReStores during operating hours.

Note that we are unable to accept materials that are rusted, sharp, or otherwise unsafe to handle.

Donors are responsible for removal of all personal data from electronics before dropping off at one of our ReStores. Removing the hard drives is generally recommended.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Along with providing this valuable service to the community, Habitat for Humanity ReStores are diverting thousands of tons of usable items from local landfills by giving them a second life. Based on the sanitation industry’s standard formula for calculating how much material is being diverted, HFHGC ReStores diverted approximately 1,419 tons of material . . . over 2.8 million pounds last year — up over 155 tons from the previous year!
