Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati is pleased to announce the appointment of Nadine Gibson as Chief Operations Officer. Gibson is the first individual to officially hold this title as the organization expands the former Director of Operations role to meet evolving needs and an anticipated period of significant growth.
Gibson is an experienced project manager with an extensive background in real estate and deep-rooted ties to the Cincinnati nonprofit community. She began her career at Procter & Gamble as an engineer before transitioning into project management, a field where she successfully leveraged her technical background to lead complex initiatives. Her professional trajectory includes serving in various real estate and facilities management roles at P&G and Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), where she managed major projects, including a $500 million beauty organization relocation.
“We are incredibly pleased that Nadine is joining our team,” said Joe Hansbauer, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati. “Nadine’s passion for non-profit work coupled with her skills within real estate and project management will help lead us into the future building homes, communities, and hope in our region.”
Gibson’s career has been defined by a "heart for service," leading her to hold numerous leadership positions within the nonprofit sector. She has served on regional and national boards for Jack and Jill of America, the YWCA (2017–2020), and the National Society of Black Engineers. She also holds an MBA from Xavier University and most recently worked with Farmers Business Network and as a consultant for The Hope.
In her new role, Gibson will help guide Habitat as it scales its mission to address the regional affordable housing crisis through larger, multi-home developments and new construction technologies. Gibson expressed excitement about the opportunity to "marry" her professional expertise with her personal passions.
“For me, housing means security, safety, and a foundation for wealth creation,” said Gibson. “I consider myself blessed to be able to use everything I have learned to serve in a capacity that will have such a huge impact on the community. It’s never been about a title; it’s about the opportunity to bring experience and match that with a passion for mission”
