ReStore Staff Spotlight: Trudy

Trudy has been a valued associate at the Florence ReStore for the past two years, having recently celebrated her anniversary in October. From day one, Trudy has been a wonderful addition to the Florence team, and the feeling is mutual—her coworkers love working with her, and Trudy truly enjoys being part of such a supportive group. Her manager, Traci, recently praised Trudy for her strong customer service skills, especially her ability to successfully enroll customers in the ReStore’s loyalty program, and felt it was the perfect time to celebrate her contributions. Trudy is beloved by her coworkers, and she says her favorite part of the job is getting to laugh and connect with them each day.

Trudy looks forward to coming to work because it gives her the chance to socialize with both customers and staff, making meaningful connections along the way. Her outgoing personality helps create a welcoming environment for everyone who visits the Florence ReStore, and her energy plays a key role in making the store a place people enjoy visiting and working.

Before joining Habitat for Humanity, Trudy built a strong foundation in leadership while working in the home department of a large retailer. She brings that experience and confidence into her role at the ReStore, where her skills continue to benefit both customers and her team. After moving back to Florence, Trudy was searching for a new opportunity and found the perfect fit with Habitat for Humanity. She was already aligned with Habitat’s mission of putting God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope, and she was excited to be part of an organization making a difference in the community. Thanks to her talkative, outgoing nature, Trudy quickly found not just a job, but a community.
