Meet Ellen – a volunteer door greeter at the Florence ReStore!
Ellen began volunteering with the Habitat for Humanity ReStore a few months ago and quickly became a valued member of the team. In her role as a door greeter, Ellen welcomes every customer, helps keep the store clean and organized, and is always ready to lend a hand wherever she is needed.
Ellen was inspired to volunteer at the ReStore by a desire to get more involved in the community and to help others. She brings joy, kindness, and genuine care to every interaction. Ellen says she loves connecting with customers, staff and fellow volunteers, and she looks forward to being out in the community and seeing familiar faces. Ellen says she has learned a lot about customer service from the ReStore staff, and she takes pride in her role.
Outside of time spent at the ReStore, Ellen also volunteers with the Kenton County Animal Shelter. She also leads a very active lifestyle and enjoys swimming at the YMCA, dancing, and exercising. Ellen also loves to relax by watching movies and football.
“We absolutely love having Ellen here, and so do our customers,” says Florence ReStore Manager, Traci. “She brings so much heart and happiness to our store. We are incredibly grateful for Ellen and the positivity, dedication, and light she brings to the Florence Restore. Thank you, Ellen, for being such an important part of our Habitat family.”
Volunteers like Ellen make our mission possible. We’re so thankful for the dedication, warmth, and energy she brings to our Florence ReStore community.
